Brevard runners poised for medal haul at state
County teams have won 34 titles since 1968

Three months of grueling workouts in the summer heat and 12 weeks of competition culminate Saturday in the FHSAA state cross country meet over the scenic, yet hilly and challenging Little Everglades Ranch course in Dade City.


And as usual, Brevard County high schools can be counted among the favorites to either win or find themselves on the medal podium. After all, county runners have won 34 team championships dating back to 1968 and 10 individual titles in the past four years alone.
