Javier Vento and Aiden Villasuso, both seniors at Belen Jesuit High, took first and second in the boys 3A final at the Florida High School Athletic Association state championship meet at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. Vento covered the 5-kilometer course in 15:22.2 and Villasuso ran 15:41.6 for Belen Jesuit, which increased its all-time boys record with its 12th state championship overall, including another record with five in a row, following a 30-123 victory over Sunlake.
