Caroline Wells, a junior at Winter Park High, won the girls 3A individual title at the Florida High School Athletic Assocation state championship meet at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. Wells set the all-time state finals record on the 5-kilometer layout at Apalachee, clocking 17:16.5 to eclipse the 2018 record of 17:17.58 set by Valerie Lastra of Mater Academy in the 3A final. Wells also led Winter Park to back-to-back team championships with a 72-86 victory over Leon.
