1A Girls winner - Julie Wollrath, 18:14, Holy Trinity (Melbourne) - "We knew it was going to be tough, so we all knew we'd have to run strong to get the place we'd want," Talking about helping her team to victory as well.

2A Girls winner - Julia Montgomery, 18:22, Pine Crest - "It feels so great. The first time is kind of luck. Some people had a bad day, I had a good day and now I know I can do it," talking about winning her 2nd state title.

1A Boys winner - Franco Martin, 15:44, Windermere Prep - "I knew I'd never pushed myself to the limit. I knew this was the day to do it…I knew it was going to be fast and I wanted to push, every downhill I wanted to be first," discussing his race strategy that led to a huge pr and state title.

3A Girls winner - Emily Edwards, 18:09, Ft. Myers - "The last half mile was everything I had. I thought of all the work and my teammates pushing themselves and figure I had to be all or nothing at that point," explaining what motivated her to win her first state xc title.

4A Girls winner - Alexa Cruz, 18:02, St. Thomas Aquinas - "It just feels great. Coming out here, it just meant a lot out here because I wanted to do what Bridget (Blake) did last year but today my primary focus was on my team and trying to get a team state championship." Cruz lead her STA teammates to a 63 point win.

3A Boys winner - Sukhi Khosla, 15:08, Leon (Tallahassee) - "It was all I wanted (winning) today…I wasn't as strong (in the past). I really took care of myself (this year)," discussing getting past the illness bug that's hampered his past state meet performances in both xc and track.

4A Boys winner - Nick Diaz, 15:22, Sunset - "My coach told me before the race, whether there is someone behind you or whether there isn't someone behind you, to picture that there is because you're always against the time." Despite not looking back in the final 100m, Diaz had to surge into the finish to fend off runner-up James Zentmeyer of Sickles.

Sukhi Khosla ran 15:09 for the win.

That's the fastest for Appalachee Park at the FL meet.
