Sarasota girls 2nd at State XC Meet

TALLAHASSEE

All season, the Sarasota High girls cross country team has run behind Estero and no other team.

The Sailors did the same Saturday at the FHSAA Cross Country Finals, but they closed the gap considerably against the Wildcats.

And they took home some hardware.

Sarasota capped a “dream season,” according to Coach John Stevenson, finishing 13 points second behind Estero, 83-96, in the Class 3A team standings at Apalachee Regional Park.
