Runner-up: Gabriel Curtis – See above. 2A: Winner: Caleb Pottorff – Undefeated and ready to put on a show for his new Coach. Runner-up: Charles Hicks – Only one loss on the season. 3A: Winner: Michael Phillips – Racing on his home course for the crown. Runner-up: Josh Collins – In a repeat of the Pre-State outcome. 4A: Winner: Timothy Doyle – With McFetrigde out, the door is open for Doyle Runner-up: Bryce Bell – Will have to have his best day to get past Doyle. Girls Team: 1A: Winner: Oak Hall – Deeper than last year with a great 5-6-7. Runner-up: First Academy – Sneaks past Circle Christian lead by the Crist’s. 2A: Winner: Pine Crest – Young and fast. Runner-up: Bolles – Going to make it closer than it appears on paper. 3A: Winner: Niceville – So Deeeeep! Runner-up: Fort Myers – The pack lifts them. 4A: Winner: Winter Park – Tested and Experienced. Runner-up: George ‘The Boss’ Steinbrenner – Strong pack but … Boys Team: 1A: Winner: Maclay – If the pack stays together, they take home the hardware. Runner-up: Westminster Academy – 4-5 have to have good races to hold off Mt. Dora. 2A: Winner: Satellite – In what could have been one of the most intriguing match-ups of the day, Coach Butler and Coach Vinal at it again, it will have to wait. Coach Vinal is on personal leave from the reigning state 2A champion Trinity Prep for the state meet. Runner-up: Trinity Prep – The team, under the guidance of Coach Dowdy & Hopkins, will give a great fight but come up short in their quest for a 4th straight crown. 3A: Winner: Creekside - The 4-5-6 will pull the Knights through. Runner-up: Chiles – Despite the low stick, there’s not enough depth to get the W. Especially if it comes down to the displacers. 4A: Winner: St. Thomas Aquinas – Despite not having a standout low stick the pack is tight. Runner-up: Newsome – 4-5 have to run better than regions to hold off Lakewood Ranch.
